2012 MJM 40z

Deltaville, Virginia

Lolly is a rare find in todays market. Her single owner has kept her stored on a covered lift for her entire life and she has been gently used with regular care.

With less than 180 hours on the engines and 31 on the generator you wont find a like new MJM for this price. Her build by renowned Boston Boatworks means this boat is ready for her new owners with little updating needed even after 10 years.

The MJM 40z delivers as pure of a ride as you will ever know from her Doug Zurn design pedigree and her Boston Boatworks epoxy construction. On deck the 40z boasts a flush deck from helm to transom, forward opening windows, roll up side glass, generous side decks with two boarding doors, and ample room on the bow for mooring or docking. Inside you will find a beautiful cherry interior with glossy teak and holly sole. Her layout with forward master and split head and shower are comfortable for a single couple but the convertible dinette and galley space mean you can bring guests comfortably.

Hull & Deck

The Doug Zurn designed 40Z hull features a modified deep - V planing hull with 18 degree deadrise aft runnng forward 13 feet which then transitions to 50 degrees forward. This combined with dual lifting strakes, chine flats and generous bow flare make for the driest ride, exceptional stability and tracking upwind or down, and a low vertical center of gravity so she'll carve into turns rather than lean outwards as low tech heavier boats frequently do.

The legendary MJM fuel efficiency (as little as 50% of comparable 40 footers) is achieved through her high tech build that eliminates fuel wasting excess weight. Yet this high tech, high strength, high quality build process is certified ISO CE Mark Class A for an ocean going vessel capable of 40 knots in 21 foot seas.

The ergonomics are simply unmatched starting with the innovative side boarding cockpit doors, making it safe and easy for everyone, children to seniors, to board.

The single level cockpit and pilot house sole and abundant handholds make moving about easy regardless of age or conditions.
