2002 Voyage 440

Oriental, North Carolina

2002 Voyage 440 Owner's Version

Awarded best cruising catamaran and best overall cruising sailboat, this South African built bluewater catamaran has lived up to that reputation with quality of construction and proven performance. The current owner purchased this boat in 2018 and immediately started upgrading her for adventure!

Starting with the wider dive-type ladder and ample sugar scoop you can already tell this boat is cruiser friendly. The back platform can double as dinghy storage while underway or extra living space at anchor. Angled windows make it more aerodynamic and adds to the sleek look of the boat. Plank strips divide the trampoline area and allow for a firm walkway when handling the anchor or reaching for a mooring ball. Two teak pulpit seats grace the bow, port and starboard, for dolphin watching.

The cabin top holds the solar panels and a catwalk across the stern gives you easy access to the newer mainsail. All the lines are conveniently located in the cockpit with wenches on each side to control the sails. Seating for two at the helm with great visibility. The cockpit area has a dining table and comfortable cushions for easy entertaining.

Walking into the saloon area you notice three companionways that lead down to the living spaces. The guest cabins have their own entrance on each side of the galley. The galley has ample cold storage with a top-loading freezer and front-loading fridge. Another unique feature of this Voyage is the breakfast bar. Plenty of ventilation with windows forward and hatches above.

On the owner’s side, you’ll find a huge bathroom aft with separated by a small living area then the elevated double bed forward. You can gain access to the small, captain’s berth through the owner’s cabin. This cabin has a port located just below the helm station - excellent for communication on overnight and longer passages.
