Accommodations A nice Vee berth forward, a pull out double and single in the main salon and of course a navigator's quater berth. This is a standard cruising layout that has worked well over the years and makes for an outstanding set up. There is a private stand up head between the cabins with hanging locker opposite. The salon features a nice centerline dinette table with room for the whole crew to eat at once. Aft of this is the galley to port and Nav table to starboard. The engine is tucked away with good access beneath the companionway steps. The cabin area is complimented with a teak and holly sole and many opening ports in addition to 2 nice all weather dorade vents.
Galley The L shaped galley has a large double hinged; well insulated 12v IsoTherm refrigerator/Freezer, 2 burner Force 10 propane stove, deep double sinks and a built in cutting board and There is good stowage for crockery etc. aft and outboard of the stove.
Nepenthe is well set up for long distance and single handed sailing.
- She has both a RayMarine auto-pilot and a Monitor self steering system. The RayMarine auto-pilot has the control head mounted at the pedestal and a linear drive mounted below decks attached directly to the steering quadrant. The Monitor is known as 'bullet proof' and provides self steering capabilities when all else fails.
- She has a Vesper Marine AIS transponder that alerts you to other AIS trafffic, alerts them to you, and provides you with calculated 'closest point of approach'.
IFuruno 'NavNet 3D' 8 inch chartplotter and a 4kw Furuno radar. The chartplotter is mounted on the cockpit pedestal in a NavPod inclosure. The chartplotter has electronic charts for the US east coast, Bahamas, and the Carribean.
