1978 Dickerson 41 Ketch

DOWN HOME features a traditional but roomy layout with ample ventilation and 6'6" headroom in the main salon. The entire interior has been refurbished with Ash bulkheads and lots of teak trim which brightens the interior considerably.  The cabin sole was replaced in 2020 using mahogany reclaimed from an 80 year old wooden sailboat.  The sole has 16 opening hatches providing excellent access to systems and additional storage throughout.

Beginning forward there is a large v-berth guest cabin with overhead hatch and opening ports.  Just aft there is a marine head to starboard and large hanging locker across to port.  The main salon features a teak table dinette and blue leather covers all cushions in the cabin.  Custom cabinets were fitted in the main cabin to starboard and   Two ocean sea berths with lee cloths can be fitted in the main cabin but are not visible until needed.  Hidden sliding screens are fitted to each companionway and each hatch has a folding screen for easy use.  The galley is located to starboard with Corian counter tops, single stainless steel sink, refrigerator/freezer with tope and side access, Force 10 oven/stove and ample storage in 9 drawers and 5 cabinets.

There is a walk-through to the owners' aft cabin on the port side with access to the engine room.  The owners' cabin has been reconfigured with a queen sized berth which is hinged to lift providing access to storage and the steering quadrant.  There is ample storage with 2 hanging lockers, 8 drawers and 6 large lockers.  The mizzen mast base was customized to allow for more space and mobility in the cabin improving on the original design.
